With West Nile Virus sickening people and at least one death in Nashville I am shocked that the city staff, Wendy Deats (city planner), Richard King (codes inspector), Joe Cosintini (town administrator) along with Cory Napier (Mayor) have so far ignored the letters I sent them detailing the public health hazards.

About 10 yards behind the food vendors under a cement slab is a Coyote den with Coyote scat on top of the slab.
We just visited for the first time today and were very impressed! The elegant barn in which the market is held creates a beautiful setting for shopping for locally grown/made goods. Lots of great venders: produce, meat, canned goods, bread, flowers, etc. Will definitely be coming back!
The 4 foot high weeds directly behind the vendors are infested with tics.
The callous disregard for the health of citizens and visitors demonstrated by the city's employees and leadership should prompt a boycott of the Farmers Market until such time as the town remedies the situation. If you value your health and the health of your children a message should be sent to the town that cannot be ignored.
