The food is pricey and really not that good, its not terrible, but nothing special. The main selling point is the location, which is pretty and the themed rooms can be a topic of conversation. However, I never walk away from a meal going, "wow that was amazing". Its always mediocre with an expensive tab.
A great venue for a date night, business diner, wedding. Fresh rotating menu depending the season using there own garden to heighten your taste buds. Excellent atmosphere with a separate bar with no TV’s for an after dinner drink or dessert! Treat yourself YUM!
UPDATE: Even though my wife and I had a disappointing experience on our first visit, we decided to give this restaurant another try. The food was much better this time. We both ordered different entrees than on our first visit. I have discovered that the owners of this business do take customer satisfaction seriously and care about the dining experience of their patrons. This is, unfortunately, the exception and not the norm nowadays and goes a long way in my book.
My wife and I went for brunch on Sunday. This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. Even though it was a Sunday, 45 minutes is a bit long to wait for food at lunchtime. Our server was friendly and was very apologetic for the long wait. I ordered the pork chop and my wife had the harvest scrambler. The food was mediocre at best. This was our first visit, and this place missed the mark.
On September 30, 2017 my now fiancee' and I had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. The meal was outstanding and the staff went above and beyond to help me plan a very romantic opportunity for our engagement. A special thanks to Ben, our server, and Hannah, shift lead, for all of your help to make it a very special evening.
We had an amazing overall experience at Homestead Manor this weekend. We had a delicious meal, complete with tasty cocktails and great service. The manager, Stephen took us on a tour, telling us a little about the history of the home and it's conversion into what it is today - what an unexpected, but greatly appreciated personal touch! Thank you for making our visit one-of-a-kind. We will be back!
